Who we are
TargetGoals Tasks ("the app") is an open-source, offline-first task and habit tracker for Android. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
What data the app stores, and where
- Your lists, tasks, subtasks, daily habits, and completion history are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
- Notification preferences are stored locally and used only to schedule on-device reminders. No notification data leaves your device.
What we collect
Nothing. The developer does not operate any servers that receive your data, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Optional sync (advanced)
The app includes an optional feature to sync your data across your own devices. If — and only if — you choose to enable it, you connect the app to a server that you run and control yourself (self-hosted). In that case your data is sent only to your server, over a connection you control. The developer never receives this data and has no access to your server. If you never enable sync, the app works fully offline and no data is transmitted anywhere.
Permissions
- Camera — used solely to scan a pairing QR code when you choose to set up optional self-hosted sync. The camera is not used at any other time, and no images are stored or transmitted.
Your control over your data
- You can export a backup of your data from within the app at any time.
- You can delete all of your data by uninstalling the app, which removes the local database from your device.
Children's privacy
The app is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
